Lotte Koppens (1998, Amsterdam) is a Dutch artist based in Dordrecht. Koppens graduated from the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague. The work is psychologically motivated; the proces of making the work, exhibiting, and what is left when all is done, all is part of exorcising unknown forbidden thoughts. Making and observing art is therefore a way of defining, understanding, confronting and overcoming certain emotions. Even though the works tend to be quite personal, the feeling that is conveyed is universally human, and is therefore communicative to the person that can recognize itself in the work.

Besides her own work, Lotte is also part of the collective Stoeptroep together with Anika Hochstenbach.
